It's good to know that the sequins on the seam allowances need to be removed in order to avoid that scratchy feeling on the inside of the garment, and I'll definitely take your advice in that regard. Putting in lining as you did would help with that, as well, and I'll be sure to use bias cut strips on non-stretchy fabric like you said to, as that likely is the fabric I'll be going with.<br /> https://bigzfabric.com/index.php/fabrics/sequins-fabric.htmlAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08693693157788629440noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8895514964146485652.post-82329532443817787242012-03-09T18:31:42.415-08:002012-03-09T18:31:42.415-08:00I don't know much about boning or sewing stret...I don't know much about boning or sewing stretchy dresses for that matter, but I don't think you need boning unless it's strapless. This dress is flat lined because that's how my teacher told me to do it, and she knows a lot about making clothing. I'm sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but I honestly don't know the best answers to your questions.Gwenbeadshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03776860653117490065noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8895514964146485652.post-2602922682812024432012-03-09T18:27:24.271-08:002012-03-09T18:27:24.271-08:00Thank you!!!! I am going to make my granddaughter a fitted dress with a stretch sequined fabric. Should I use boning? If so, should I just bone to the waist or hip? Should I make a foundation, and underline? I want the dress to be very special because my little angel keeps the garments I make forever. I would be so gratefuld if you could help me.
